I big improvement from the first and second ones I did.
My father in law and sister in law are coming for Christmas and did not let us know till a few days ago, luckily we were done Christmas shopping and it wasn’t a burden to buy them presents and stocking stuffers. I have not been able to find a stocking that was cheap (since it will only be used once) so I used some yarn to crochet a little baggy here and personalized it so my little sister will know I put extra love into making it.
I also included a link of a basket weave I will be making for my father in law for his “stocking stuffer” baggy. If it turns out well I will post pics 🙂
1 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, 3 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla, apricot preserves, powdered (confectioner?) sugar.
Cream butter and granulated sugar
Add flour, baking powder, salt, egg, and vanilla
mix and refrigerate 1 hour
Roll dough on floured surface about 1/4 inch thick
cut dough into 1-2 inch squares
place apricot preserve in center and pinch corners together (will post pic when Im done making them)
Bake 350 for 8-12 min.
When you take them out of the oven to cool sprinkle the powdered sugar on top
